With thirty seven champion ships in past ten years, performance and pedigree potential of respected Gixxer is good. Making up about 45 percent of AMA Super bike field since the year 2009, GSX-R has winning reputation. Just when you’d think it can not get better that this, it does. Here is 2012 Suzuki GSX-R1000. In first glance, new GSX-R is pretty similar to out going version. There is still the trapezoidal funky head light, recognizable lines & distinctive white and blue scheme of color. Suzuki says the 2012 model is “refined model of fifth gen.” Maybe first thing that is different visually is single exhaust which replaces twin setup of exhaust for 2011 model. • 2012 Kawasaki ZX-14R Review
Building the most powerful street bike to public for mass use is neither politically correct nor easy but this is what Kawasaki is doing with new ZX-14R which is incredibly potent. ZX-14R is always been a big player in wars of hyper bike since it was first introduced in the year 2006. It was the only bike that could rub shoulders with mega-powerful (almost 160 hp) Hayabusa from Suzuki which was introduced way back in the year 1999. ZX-14 could crank out 171 hp on dyno which was remarkable and this must have worried engineering and marketing department team at Suzuki’s; they made more heavier Hayabusa in the year 2008 having bigger engine which produced about 165 hp. Kawasaki then surprised all with renovated ZX-14 in the year 2008, just 2 years after it debuted, for meeting the new challenge from Suzuki. While Kawi was smoother  [...]

  • 2012 Victory Hard-Ball Review
Victory has Balls. 4 of them including new 2012 Hard-Ball, Vegas 8-Ball, the Hammer 8-Ball and the High-Ball. Unlike nakedness of other Balls of Victory, this Hard-Ball has highway bars protection, adorned along with twenty one gallons of saddle bag hard storage and the sheathed in blackest of black matte paint. Victory has classified Hard-Ball as Tourer, and with an optional wind screen installed it is a description which befits. This one has having similar namesake with the High-Ball sibling, 2012 Victory Hard-Ball is a mixture of the Victory’s Cross Roads (priced at $16,000) and the High-Ball (priced at $13,500). Hence you might assume that Hard-Ball will seemingly share MSRP of the Cross Roads’. Yet this new Ball has Cross Country (along with touring color matched fairing having embedded audio system) comes with a cost, making  [...]

  • Harley-Davidson adds some new engines
Harley-Davidson recently added Twin Cam 103, Twin Cam 96, and the 2003-2006 Twin Cam CVO 103 engines to their program of engine remanufacturing. This program accepted 1984 and the newer Evolution 1340, Twin Cam 88B Twin Cam 88, and Twin Cam 95 power plants, takes the used engines, repaints, and  also rebuilds them. Now customers get to take the existing Harley-Davidson motorcycles to dealers for removing engine and sending it back to factory. The technicians at Harley-Davidson will be disassembling all the engines. Then they will powder coat and clean the reusable parts. If there are parts that can’t be reassembled, then they will be replaced and the old parts will sent back to the customers. Harley-Davidson gave the remanufactured engines new silver polished, all-black, chrome and silver or chrome and black finishes. Some of  [...]

  • 2012 KTM 200 Duke Review
KTM, an Austrian company, is a well known champion when it comes to manufacturing off road motorcycles. This company has also dominated the off road motor sports events. This is the first street bike from this company and is jointly developed along with Bajaj Auto, an Indian motorcycle company which now has more than 39 percent stake in this European firm. 125 Duke having single cylinder technology was first introduced in few European markets about one year ago. It immediately went on to the top and became a leader in its segment. Hence, it isn’t really surprising that they have now brought out the 200cc variant which was widely expected. Aggressive, lean, and butch – this striking 200 Duke shows its KTM genes very proudly. Predominant colors are trademark orange and black and the steep creases and sharp angles are the striking  [...]

  • 2012 Kawasaki Ninja 650 Review
A couple of weeks ago I got the 2012 Kawasaki ZX-14R and now I got a revamped sportsbike from the Team Green – 2012 Ninja 650. It seems that the Kawasaki doesn’t care about the recession that is hogging a lot of people’s minds. While overhauling the 2 machines, Ninja 650’s ‘R’ of previous version was given to then elder sibling; the designations have interchanged from the Ninja 650R to the Ninja 650 & from the ZX-14 to the ZX-14R. Loss of R nomenclature has not diminished credentials of Ninja which is more diminutive. Kawasaki says that they have enhanced the performance and have still maintained the user friendliness. Ninja’s bumped their price by $1,100 but the MSRP of 2012 Ninja 650 has been increased to $7,499 which is just a $300 increase. The styling of this bike is along worth paying the extra buck for and  [...]

  • 2012 Harley-Davidson Sportster SuperLow Review
When Harley-Davidson named their bike SuperLow, they really meant super low. This bike can go really low with just 26.8 inches in between saddle and tarmac of SuperLow. This manufacturer more than thirty bikes in their repertoire. When I first saw this bike, I thought that this seat height is their lowest ever. The span from the seat to the ground 2012 Harley-Davidson Sportster SuperLow is very low but this isn’t their lowest achievement. That honor is reserved for Softtail Delux having 25.9 inches of seat height. In fact, there are plenty of other bikes which have lower seat heights than this but the difference between them isn’t drastic. Other than the height, the 2012 Harley-Davidson Sportster SuperLow is an entry level bile having an MSRP that is equally low. This is the freshest and latest model of 883L. This latest updated  [...]

  • 2012 Honda CBR1000RR Review – Few cool upgrades
If it weren’t for more angular, reshaped front end, then you’d not know that this Honda CBR1000RR that you see here is the 2012 new model. Some competitors have played around with the design a bit for the flag ship liter bikes, including the systems of traction control and other kinds of assorted electronics, the Japanese manufacturer has gave some design touch-ups to the CBR1000RR which has been relatively unchanged since the year 2008. There are a few things that are different on this 2012 version and the biggest visual difference is that on the front end. The front section is comparatively pointed as compared to stub nosed front facing on the older model which was criticized as it looked like someone who punched in face. You need to see it personally for appreciating it fully. Honda is also saying that the new body work is  [...]

  • 2012 Ducati 1199 Panigale preview
2012 isn’t here yet but Ducati is making sure that you look forward to the New Year and has been making some mouth watering products like the successor to 1198, flagship superbike of the company. There are rumors running rampant about what would be the official name of this machine. Every thing from Xtreme Superquadrata (which means super-square in relation to the highly over square bore and the stroke measurements of the engine) to just 1199 is been kept on the table. The manufacturer has finally put all rumors to bed by revealing the official name for it – 1199 Panigale. The superbike range of Ducati will be departing from the traditional numerical nomenclature. Like in the past superbikes, the 1199 relates to the displacement of the engine and the ‘Panigale’ is the tribute to Borgo Panigale, the hometown of Ducati in Bologna. Apart  [...]
