Harley-Davidson recently added Twin Cam 103, Twin Cam 96, and the 2003-2006 Twin Cam CVO 103 engines to their program of engine remanufacturing. This program accepted 1984 and the newer Evolution 1340, Twin Cam 88B Twin Cam 88, and Twin Cam 95 power plants, takes the used engines, repaints, and also rebuilds them.
Now customers get to take the existing Harley-Davidson motorcycles to dealers for removing engine and sending it back to factory. The technicians at Harley-Davidson will be disassembling all the engines. Then they will powder coat and clean the reusable parts. If there are parts that can’t be reassembled, then they will be replaced and the old parts will sent back to the customers.
Harley-Davidson gave the remanufactured engines new silver polished, all-black, chrome and silver or chrome and black finishes. Some of the engines can get upgrades of big-bore and also hydraulic cam Screamin’ Eagle chain tesnioner plate and kits of oil pumping.
